DJ TJ has been rocking parties since before most of his peers even knew what a party was. Born into a traditional Guyanese-Canadian family, large and loud family gatherings filled with pulsating rhythms and dancing were a regular occurrence, of which he was always the life of. As a child, he was constantly surrounded by the sounds of the islands (reggae, soca, dancehall) and the sounds of Toronto (hip hop, top 40, etc) leading to a genuine appreciation of musical diversity. By the time he was 10 years old, TJ (short for Travis J.) had already started gathering songs for his vast music collection, and was experimenting with the fusion of different melodies and genres.
